Morfik 3.0 beta is underway

Preparation for the release of Morfik 3.0 Beta is underway, with this scheduled for release in May 2010. This release will include the following new features and enhancements:

- significant improvements to widgets and packages architecture and implementation
- new controls, as well as enhancements to existing controls
- highly-improved continuous editable forms
- support for internationalization
- support for animation and special graphical effects when controls change state or are moved.
- introduction of abstract data source.

MDA Featured Packages in April

The Fisheye Menu Package allows you to add expanding menus, in a similar manner to Mac OS X Dock, to your Morfik-built websites. When the user moves the mouse over Fisheye Menu items, they increase in size and show the text description.

When the mouse is moved away, the menu item returns to its original state and the description text is hidden. A live demo is available here.

The Import/Export Package provides an easy way to Import and Export data in and out of a live Morfik application database. A live demo is available here.

The Ararat Synapse Package provides an interface to the complete library of classes and functions for network communication application programming. The Ararat Synapse library aims to create a complete library of classes and functions that would markedly simplify application programming of network communication using Winsock.

With the Ararat Synapse Package you can implement all the functionality of this library in your Morfik projects. A live demo is available here.
