For most developers setting up a production environment for a web application is a major pain, not to mention the difficulties of keeping the application up-to-date once it goes live. Morfik believes that deployment is an integral part of application development and as such it should be made easy so that it can be handled by developers without the need to involve IT support staff.
To achieve this in the best possible way, Morfik has developed a complete XApp Hosting platform that automates the process of deployment right out of the development environment. It consists of a deployment server and a deployment Client which is built into Morfik AppsBuilder environment.
The client part uses a Wizard to interact with deployment Servers to upload and configure applications and, if necessary, update the application database in order to keep its structure in synch with the code. Going through the steps in wizard is extremely simple and makes what used to be a complex problem a trivial task.
Hosting Platform
The Morfik XApp Hosting platform is based on the server infrastructure supplied by the leading providers of hosting and Cloud Computing in North America and Europe.
Pricing and Availability
Morfik XApp Hosting is currently in beta and limited in availability. There are aspects of the platform that may change before the final release and which may require redeployment or even some recoding. As such it is not recommended to use this platform for mission critical applications while in beta. Space is also limited and only available to registered Morfik customers through invitation during the beta period.
Morfik XApp Hosting platform pricing is based on the number of deployed XApps and the required computing resources. There are currently four hosting plans to choose from:

Number of XApps
The number of XApps that can be simultaneously installed and run on Morfik XApp hosting platform.
DISK SPACE
The physical space available to your XApps and its associated files. This includes the application, database and resource files.
DATA TRANSFER
All the out going and in-coming traffic from your applications are metered and any excess amount will be charged at 50c per GB.
Monitoring
This service continuously monitors your application and reports any problem that your user might experience accessing your application online.
Backup
Data back-up is performed on a daily basis to ensure you do not lose any valuable information. This service relies on Morfik's live database backup capability which ensures back ups are done without interfering with the operation of your application.
How to apply for space on Morfik XApp Hosting Platform
To apply for space on Morfik XApp Hosting platform during the beta period you will need to be a holder of a valid Morfik product license. You will also need to provide us with some basic information about your needs and expected utilisation so that we can assign the appropriate level of priority to your application.
